His fascination with incredible intricate drawings means a unique manipulation of the drawn line is produced, as he weaves human, geometric, surreal and floral forms into a dreamlike fresco. Perhaps the most interesting signature of his work is that Carne uses alcohol, tea and other non-traditional mediums to create his artworks, something he has perfected to great success. Working primarily with calligraphy inks, graphite and liquids, he takes the viewer on a journey into figurative abstraction that dances poetically between raw mark-making and highly stylised aesthetic.
