His eye-catching work has appealed to many collectors, with the recycling element remaining a strong an integral part of all of his pieces. Falling under the category of Design Art, Ryan's works blend art with functionality, as he transforms otherwise disregarded found objects in to beautiful works of art. Mixing the old and the new and highlighting themes such as the de--humanisation of a generation bombarded with images and a world full of a variety of conflicts, both individually and collectively that we are all subjected to.

His collectors to date are based in Singapore, Australia, America, Hong Kong, Dubai and the UK. His design background has earned him the Peugeot Design Award in 2002 for his Knot Sofa and attributed him a place as a finalist in the British Interior Design Awards in the same year.
