In one of 2021 newsletters, we congratulated our collectors of The Connor Brothers works and highlighted their value increase over the past few years. The eagle eyed of you may well have seen that last month a piece by the artists, The Truth Is Like Poetry, and its study sold at a Philips auction for £40,320. The estimates were much less, at £18,000 - £22,000.
This will not come as a surprise to those of you who have already converted to the works of the London-based duo, now undoubtedly one of the top performing artist names in the world. Further confirmation of this was seen in Artsy’s report of 2020, signposting The Connor Brothers as one of the artists with the greatest share of all bidders at auction over the year, ahead of the likes of Salvador Dali, Roy Lichtenstein, Pablo Picasso and Keith Haring! Praise indeed.
